Zeta Hurley
I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a focus in Mathematics. I have been teaching children for several years as a counselor/teacher. I have instructed elementary and middle schoolers at iD Tech, and I taught middle and high school students as a math fellow at Saga Education.
As a non-binary person, I am aware of how important it is to feel comfortable, to feel that the person with whom you are working accepts you for who you are in order to really engage in learning.
Additionally, as an autistic individual myself, I know that typical methods used to present math concepts do not make sense to many students. By building a trusting relationship, as well as reintroducing math concepts using tailored and creative methods, I help inspire confidence and comfort in students as they tackle all kinds of math.
Education:

I graduated from Beaver Country Day School in 2020. I then graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2024 with a BA focused on Mathematics.
Experience:

I taught at iD tech for 3 years remotely and in person, then worked at Saga Education, teaching math remotely.
